Claudia Urrea has more than 20 years of experience in the field of education and technology. Dr. Urrea is currently working the MIT’s Strategic Educational Initiative managing a new Pre K-12 Initiative. She also holds a research scientist position with the Lifelong Kindergarten group at the MIT Media Lab. Dr. Urrea has worked at the Inter-American Development Bank as a consultant in the Education Sector and as Director of Learning at One Laptop Per Child. She received a Master's degree in educational media and technology from Boston University and a Ph.D. in media arts and sciences from the MIT Media Laboratory.
